Waters of Orion

SPACE!!! ANIMALS!!! WATERCOLOURS!!! My jam alright. I had a sudden burst of inspiration, and I know, I know, I have more important things to do but I couldn't focus all day before I got this piece out of my system. The moment I got this idea (inspired by a photo of a tiger in water, surrounded by algae) I just had to do it. I'm very happy with the result and the process was very much fun, too. I recently got a new set of watercolours by Winsor and Newton and I'm in love. Combined with my Canson Arches paper it's like a dream. The watercolours do exactly what I want them to do and it's just such a joy to work with them. Gotta get some more space animals done soon.
