Another work for Nuzlocke forums' "Draw Every Pokemon" -project.
I called Kingdra because I've always wanted to draw one. I think they're pretty cool. I've never actually used a Kingdra myself but I'm going to some day. My expeiences with Kingdra are limited to endless swearing and frustration when battling against one. Well, it's not like that every time but sometimes a Kingdra can cause so much headache.
The title...well, it come from Oceanlab's song </i>Sirens of the Sea</i>. I was listening to their album while drawing this so I thought I could use their song's name as a title. I don't know if it works well, atm I'm too tired to care.
I liked drawing this and I'm happy I finally managed to finish this.
I worked on a limited colour palette so the colours aren't vey bright. I wanted to try something different. Also, when I draw a Pokemon I hardly ever draw more than one of the species so I decided to break that routine as well.
I noticed the bigger Kingdra's tail is quite short, or then the other's is too long. I think the differece is just okay, you can't assume that every Kingdra has identical tail length.

pokemon could be an amazing anime and even better game, with awesome pokemons and designs, and add millions of fans to those millions that they already have, but they have chosen not to do it......

I agree, but Pokemon is a kids' show and cartoony things appeal to kids so...that's what we get.

yeah i know, i'm not asking to replace the original anime and games with this but make alternative versions, more serious and realistic, that would be good, at least there is creative people making this kind of art

and i don't think the games are that much for kids, my cousin and nephew never understood the game lol

That would actually be a neat idea, making an alternative game with a more realistic approach. Maybe even make a Nuzlocke mode for it, too!

Well, most of the people who play the games aren't kids, but I think Nintendo still targets them at kids and teens.

I'm fine with the official design, I think it's beautiful. But I wouldn't mind a bit more monstrous version either. ;)
