Rise of The Giants

FINALLY I got a file of this drawing. I drew it almost two months ago in Tracon V for a drawing contest that was held there. The theme was "monsters". Everyone had about six hours to draw their entries and each entry had to be drawn at the convention place. The originals were left to the convention place and it took almost two months from the convention accountables to put up the winning works on the con website...

I had taken some Copics and coloured pencils with me so I could use them to draw this. I had a picture of my entry in my mind already so all I had to do was to simply draw it on the official contest paper. It was pretty hard since I wore fake nails on each finger and the nails were at least 2cm tall. Each of them.
I got the honorbale mention with this drawing and I'm pretty proud of it since I've never won anything like that. Well, I didn't "win" the contest but the honorable mention was a victory for me.

I was inspired by a song - "Fairyland - Rise of The Giants" [link] - and I had wanted to draw this picture for ages. It's not that carefully done, note the time, fingernails and selling art while drawing. But I think I did pretty well anyway.

And btw, it's a moss dragon size of a small mountain. I kind of love the design and I might use it again sometime.
