This could be an April Fools from me, an update that still doesn't go futher in the actual story. Even though I kind of promised. 'D I couldn't help myself. The gijinkas from the Q&A session combined with late night and a spark of inspiration gave birth to just a few rough sketches that ended up being a monstrous, 18,000 pixels long comic. And yes, it's a digital comic. I kind of wanted to try something different because I always do my comics traditionally I wanted to give digital art a try. I learned that digital comics take a hell lot of time. This particular comic took several days to draw and even though my patience started to wear thin but I actually made it. And I think it actually paid off. I'll be doing my comics traditionally, this was just an experiment. I might do digital comics again, but I feel like traditional pencil to paper is my way to go.
Anyways, the story! I really wanted to draw more of those gijinkas so I came up with a small story about how the roles of the trainer and her Pokemon get reversed. Nothing to do with the actual story, no explanation what actually is the cause but I think it was pretty fun. I think I had some things to say about this but I forgot about them, might edit the description later if I remember them again. :'>
Oh, and the song Thorn's singing is From Afar by Ensiferum [link]
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! Also, I'm going to have a long and nice Easter holiday starting next week, which means I'll have plenty of free time. And time to ACTUALLY START CHAPTER 14. Expect another update soon! A real update!
So was this sorta canon? And that nerd kinda pissed me off, what he said just came out as "I use Pokemon as tools" kind of thing. Definitely nothing a good personal Pokemon death won't fix.
It was semi-canon. It's not something that will be referred to later in the comic, but it could as well be canon. I made the nerd like that on purpose. He pisses me off, too, but actually he's only a "tool" for the story in this strip. I think a death of a pokemon would have an effect on him, though.
