Okay, before I start babbling about this pic, I´ll let you know that this is my first gryphon ever. Okay, THIRD and First ever finished. The two gryphon sketches I´ve drawn earlier were so ugly that I threw them away. Honestly. Another one didn´t have tail, legs or even beak and the other one looked something like donkey´s and chiken´s crossing.. So, this is my first gryphon, that´s why the title is like that. First flight of the first gryphon drawn by me.
I started working this last night because I couldn´t sleep. I think my best ideas pop out during night, at least some of the outcomes look pretty good. I like this one very much, not only because this is my first gryphon, also that´s why I think it looks pretty good. The pose might be as trite as christmas ham during this time of year, but I like it.
As well known, scanners hate monochrome pics. I hope you can deal with the quality.
And now I ask you, beg you to say something about this pic! I really want to know what people think about this. Any critique is more than welcome. If you fav this I´d be curious to know why you faved it. Say anything you like, but please say something.

Jos jotain kritiikkiä pitäisi antaa, niin mielestäni raajat näyttävät hieman tönköiltä. Jos niihin olisi saanut tietynlaisen dynaamisuuden, tämä työ olisi lähes täydellinen! --  Kiitoksia paljon kritiikistä! ^^ Näinpä tämä onkin, raajojen kanssa minulla on aina kaikkein eniten vaikeuksia, niistä tuppaa aina tulemaan tuollaisia tönkköjä. :'D

Mm... mm. En mä osaa sanoa mitään. Enkä varsinkaan antaa mitään advanced kritiikkiä kun en ainakaan tiedä näiden otusten anatomiasta yhtään mitään. X3 Ja muutenkin tämä on niin upea jaja! Mutta jos nyt ihan hiuksia pitäisi halkoa, niin sitten nuo jalat tosiaan näyttää vähän tönköiltä. Ja häntä myöskin, en tiedä onko vika vain minussa, mutta ehkä se voisi olla vähän taipuisampi? Eeh, mutta ei tässä oikeastaan mikään häiritse, kaunista katseltavaa. : ) Kiitos! ^^

 Tönkköys onkin välillä jonkinmoinen ongelma kuvissani. Olen aivan samaa mieltä tuon hännän ja raajojen kanssa, mutta mikäli enemmän näitä otuksia innostun piirtämään, niin ehkä tönkköys hioutuu pois. 8) Ainakin minun sopii toivoa niin X) -- Have a child's open minded spirit EI HITSI NUO SIIVET ON UPEAAAATTT!!! <33
Vitsit nuo kaikki sulat ja aaaaah~! Niin kivaa työskentelyä lyijärin ja tussin kanssa. -- - and all we did was run round round - 0_o Amazingly beautiful.
It's got so much detail to it, from the individual shading on the wing feathers to the flow of the hair down its (his? her?) stomach and hind legs. I love the expression as well: that kind of fierce look that's so common to eagles is nailed perfectly here. What a face.  The one piece of crit I have, (and it's minor compared to the talent and detail in this piece) is that the eagle legs seem to be joined a bit stiffly to the body. But, that's just my two cents, and as I said before, this is amazing regardless! |
