I almost kind of made it before my holiday ended, whoo! (My school started last week but next week is going to be the first whole week of school so last week doesn't count.)
Chapter 17 is now more or less happily over. After this part I have to say I miss the caves, as much as I hated drawing them. At least I didn't have to think about perspective or furniture or other crap like that. Oh well, hope it was worth the pain.
I did and didn't like this update. There's a lot of stuff coming that needs to be covered and explained so you may expect more parts like the one with Brendan and his dad. But I will definitely not forget the action part, you'll be getting that in chapter 18!
"Full force" in this case means just those four because 1) Jorry is still too big 2) Ey still hates water and the base is underwater for the most part.
In case someone wonders why taking over Aqua hideout was like this as opposed to the Magma, just look at the teams. I deliberately made them so different, based on how I've always viewed them. Magma is mysterious, organized and actually very threatening. While Aqua can be equally threatening, they do it in their own way. But most of the time they're just spontaneous, disorganized dumbasses. Beating bunch of such people is a breeze since they're just chaotic.
(Also, in case you didn't know, the board game the security are playing is called Trouble, but originally Kimble and it is invented by Finns. It's a great game!)
Also, this part comes with an integrated beach episode that lasts for one panel, whoo! That panel classifies as "I couldn't not keep a straight face while drawing it".
The song Thorn sang in this update: Turisas - Hunting Pirates I simply couldn't resist.

Next update might take a little longer since I have all kinds of misc stuff planned for this run before that (and also commissions and life and whatnot) but I try to best to get at least chapter 18 done by Christmas.
