Description

A kiriban prize for *Gatekat for cathing my 20,00th kiriban about... one year ago?
Anyway, Gatekat asked me to draw her character RakiJedi-KurraConnor, who's name literally means 'First Jedi Honors Connor'. A Jedi Raptor... how cool is that? :D:heart:

It was very much fun drawing this. I even made a Step-by Step tutorial of this and I'll post it soon. This time I don't need to tell you anything about drawing this, everything is written on the tutorial.
I fell in love, again. This time with Bristol paper. I was surprised they sold it at a local art shop and I just had to buy it. :D

I think this came out very nicely even though I've never drawn a raptor before. Actually I haven't drawn any dinosaur since I was like 6 (if those shapeless things coul've been calles dinosaur...).

...oh yeah, the raptors aren't flying, no. They obviously can do that. Jedies are known for their high jumps and so on and I thought if there was any ground visible it would've made the picture look a little... well, not so cool. 'D

Hope you like it! :)

Edit; Here is the step-by-step thing
Edit2; Takes part in the 100 Techniques challenge with theme 28. Draw something you've never drawn before, not even scetched. As I told, I haven't drawn a raptor even before. :3

You know I love your art, and this one does no exception <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

I'm specialy in love with the big hind paws, so raptor-like if I dare say.
And the details on the scales, feathers and... oh well, details on the whole body are damn amazing ^^
The highlight are perfect to my opinion, and you did great with the shading too.
I jealous your clouds ahah, they're soft and make me wanna play on them.
I also like the fact that you kept the secondary character all black, a shadow in the distance. It fits perfectly with the Sun behind it.

Now, since, it's a critique, I've got to try to find a negative thing on this drawing...
*thinking*
Hum, maybe, since the laser-sword of the main character is blue( on my screen it looks blue, not sure if you wanted it to be so...)... maybe you should have done some blue reflection on the character too. I can see you let some white as a light reflection of the laser, but maybe adding a blue effect would be even nicer. But it's not really important, uh (:

Anyway, I love this picture a lot, can't wait for your next works <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
